Sausage sandwiches

Sometimes..., whenever I am on my last dollar before payday, I go get a fast food sausage biscuit! I will go out if my way to find a location too!

This obsession began way back in my high-school days with my sister when she drove us to school. Some mornings- when we both got dressed early enough & were rich with money in our pockets- my sister Snoopy drove through the drive-in & we got us sausage biscuits for under a dollar. She said eating hers tasted better with a cigarette & she also got a coke from the corner store when she bought her smokes. The driving breakfast trip with my sister was worth smelling like smoke later when socializing in the courtyard. That sausage biscuit was often all I ate for the day.

Yesterday, when I bought my sausage biscuit it was still for under a dollar. I spied those paper King crowns adorning the edges of the pay counter. When I was a child, I remembered wanting one of those! So I finally got the small girl in me my crown & perched it on the dash of my car - but it was not free. I had to give 35 cents extra to get it!

I used my last allotment of my cash on this.
